Gandhinagar, India – On 03 March 2025, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), a leading institution dedicated to national security and policing education, has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Andaman & Nicobar Police. This strategic partnership is aimed at advancing SMART Policing initiatives within the Union Territory, focusing on enhancing law enforcement capabilities through modern methodologies.

 

The MoU outlines a comprehensive framework for collaboration that includes police training, capacity building, and the integration of cutting-edge technology into policing practices. By modernizing policing methods, this initiative seeks to incorporate data-driven intelligence systems, bolster cybersecurity measures, advance forensic techniques, and provide specialized training for law enforcement officers.

In a statement regarding the collaboration, RRU officials expressed their commitment to empowering the police force with contemporary tools and knowledge. “This collaboration will not only empower the police force with modern tools and knowledge but also reinforce India’s commitment to enhancing internal security through innovation and expertise,” they stated.

The MoU establishes a comprehensive framework for collaboration that encompasses:

• Police Training: Enhancing the skills and knowledge of law enforcement personnel.
• Capacity Building: Strengthening the operational capabilities of police forces.
• Integration of Technology: Incorporating cutting-edge technology into policing practices.

Under this agreement, RRU will provide specialized training programs tailored to meet the specific needs of the Andaman & Nicobar Police.
