The second day of the Bengaluru GAFX Summit 2025 featured a dynamic lineup of sessions focused on the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality (AVGC-XR) sectors. The event attracted a diverse audience of industry professionals, artists, students, and enthusiasts eager to explore the latest trends and innovations shaping the AVGC-XR landscape. A sculpture and sketching workshop drew the special attention of the visitors. 

WAVES Stall at Bengaluru GAFX-2025

At the ongoing three-day Bengaluru GAFX Summit 2025, the WAVES stall is providing information about the upcoming World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) scheduled to take place from May 1 to 4, 2025, in Mumbai.  Organizations, universities, institutions, and other interested stakeholders are registering at the stall to participate in the forthcoming WAVES Summit, organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The exhibition area of the GAFX Summit features 56 stalls from various animation and graphic design organizations, as well as institutions offering training in these fields. In addition, there are 12 startup kiosks showcasing their innovations.

Sessions at Bengaluru GAFX

A total of nine sessions were held throughout the day, covering key topics such as Global Collaboration in Creating Indian IP, AI in Media & Entertainment, Women in Gaming: Empowering the Next Generation, The Game Development Pipeline, and Scaling the Indian Game Industry.

The “Global Collaboration in Creating Indian IP” session explored international partnerships in developing Indian intellectual properties, with insights from the Technicolor Mikros team and Graphic India.

In the “AI in Media & Entertainment” session, moderated by Jehil Thakkar, Partner and Media & Entertainment Sector Leader at Deloitte India, the panellists—including Biren Ghose (Technicolor Group), Vishal Dhupar (NVIDIA)—discussed AI's transformative impact on the industry.

“The Women in Gaming: Empowering the Next Generation” panel highlighted the role of women in gaming and strategies for inclusion. Vandana Goyal (Founder, MG Games), Namratha Swamy (COO, MPL), Laxmi Khanolkar (Co-founder & CEO, Apar Games), and Shagufta Khan (Co-founder & COO, Second Quest) shared their experiences and insights with the delegates. The discussion was moderated by Ritika Chatterjee from Mayhem Studios.

Another notable session, "JAY JAGANNATH" – Small Town Success Story, featured inspiring presentations by R.K. Chand (Secretary, ABAI), Durga Prasad Dalai (Founder & CEO, ELE Animations Pvt. Ltd.), Uttam Pal Singh (Head, Kids Cluster, Warner Bros. Discovery), and P. Jayakumar (CEO, Toonz Media Group), showcasing success stories from small-town India in the AVGC-XR industry.

The day's sessions reinforced the summit’s commitment to fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration within the AVGC-XR community. Attendees engaged with industry leaders, gained insights into emerging technologies, and explored trends set to redefine digital content creation.

As the Bengaluru GAFX Summit 2025 progresses, it continues to serve as a premier platform for India's AVGC-XR industry, attracting professionals, artists, and students from across the country.
