DG CRPF Gyanendra Pratap Singh visits CRPF Guwahati and Co-located Offices, reviews operational matters

Shri Gyanendra Pratap Singh, IPS, the newly appointed Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), visited the Group Centre CRPF Guwahati and its colocated offices, including the Office of the Special DG, North East Zone, from 17th to 18th February 2025.

During his visit Shri Gyanendra Pratap Singh was accorded a Guard of Honour at the Quarter Guard. This was followed by a solemn tribute at the GC Martyrs’ Memorial, where he paid homage to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the service of the nation. Shri Manas Ranjan, DIG of GC CRPF Guwahati, briefed the DG on the martyrs from Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram.

In his address to the personnel during the Sainik Sammelan, the DG emphasized the need for dedication and hard work to elevate the Force to greater heights. He also interacted with officers, personnel, Veer Naris and veterans, listening to their concerns and offering his support. In a felicitation ceremony held at GC CRPF Guwahati, Shri Singh honored those who have made exceptional contributions to the Force.

The DG also held a closed-door meeting at PHQ, Ulubari, with the DG of Assam Police, senior officers and commandants of Assam Police and CRPF. They discussed crucial operational matters. Additionally, Shri Gyanendra Pratap Singh visited the Office of the North Eastern Zone, where he met Shri Raja Srivastava, ADG, NEZ and Shri Danesh Rana, IG, NES HQ, to discuss strategies to strengthen and enhance the effectiveness of operations in the North Eastern Zone.

Mrs. Dr. Anamika Singh, President of CWA, visited RCWA Guwahati, where she interacted with FWC workers, their families and Montessori students. Mrs. Soma Mukherjee, Head of RCWA Guwahati, introduced the President. Mrs. Singh engaged with the women workers and families at RCWA Guwahati, attentively listening to their concerns and offering her full support. She also visited the children of the Montessori School, where a cultural program was organized. To recognize their contributions, she felicitated the best FWC workers and outstanding children, boosting their morale with gifts and encouragement.
