CSIR-SERC is showcasing High Velocity Multi-Hit Resistant Movable Protective Booth at India Pavilion in Aero India 2025

CSIR-Structural Engineering Research Centre (CSIR-SERC) is showcasing its High Velocity Multi-Hit Resistant Movable Protective Booth at Aero India 2025, during February 10 and 14 at Yelahanka Air Force Station, Bengaluru.

CSIR-SERC has developed a prototype of multi-hit resistant movable protective booth complying to NIJ level III protection. It is 100% indigenous and no dependency on foreign OEMs. The materials used in the development are easily available in Indian local market and construction methodology is simple and does not require highly skilled workers.
The size of prototype booth is 4 ft x 4ft x 8 ft, and it offers an ample space for a security personnel to operate with desired protection from short projectiles of 7.62 mm calibre. The bullet resistant glass window for wider view on all sides. The entire structure is modular have various segmental Parts namely; Base with Castor wheels, Vertical column members, Horizontal members, Roof, Windows and fibre reinforced composite Panels. The developed security booth is useful for both civilian and defence sector to provide protection against upto 7.62AP calibre projectile hits as per NIJ standards. The developed panels can also be used in baffle ranges in various training academies.
