The 35th All India Postal Cricket Tournament witnessed intense cricketing action today, as teams battled for spots in the semi-finals. Qualifier 1 matches and eliminator rounds were played, determining the teams advancing further in the tournament.

In Qualifier 1, Gujarat and Rajasthan emerged victorious to secure their semi-final berths.

• Gujarat vs Odisha: Odisha posted a total of 124 for 8. Gujarat successfully chased the target in 18.5 overs with five wickets in hand, sealing their spot in the semi-finals.
• Rajasthan vs Delhi: Rajasthan set a formidable total of 198 runs. Delhi struggled in response, managing only 89 runs before being bowled out in 16 overs, allowing Rajasthan to advance.

The Eliminator round saw Maharashtra and Telangana clinch crucial victories:

• Tamil Nadu vs Maharashtra: Following the target of 121 made by Tamilnadu, Maharashtra emerged victorious with 125 made in 19.1 overs and 04 wickets in hand, knocking Tamil Nadu out of contention.
• Army Postal Service Corps vs Telangana: In a Thriller episode, Telangana while chasing the target of 147  secured a win by reaching 150 in 19.5 overs with  five wickets in hand, eliminating Army Postal Service Corps from the tournament.

Following today’s results, the victors of the Eliminator round, Maharashtra and Telangana, will compete against the defeated teams of Qualifier 1, Odisha and Delhi, in the next round on 9th February 2025. The winners of these matches will advance to the semi-finals on 10th February 2025.
