: Mumbai, January 26, 2025

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Mumbai Branch Office-I, in association with Sailee Degree College and Krutadnyata Foundation, had organized a Quality Run at Sailee Degree College, Borivali, Mumbai on Saturday (January 25, 2025). Over 1,200 people participated in the run, being united by a commitment to promote quality and excellence in everyday life.

The marathon and walk were organized to raise awareness about the importance of quality standards and their role in various sectors of society. The event provided participants with an opportunity to engage in physical activity while reinforcing the significance of quality, safety, and sustainability.

 

The event was officially flagged off at 6:30 AM by a distinguished group of leaders, including Deputy Director General, Western Region, BIS Shri Sanjay Goswami; Scientist-E/Director and Head of Mumbai Branch Office-I, BIS Shri. Pinaki Gupta; Sailee Degree College's Dr. Ashirwad Lokhande; and Krutadnyata Foundation's Dr. Pradyna Ashirwad. All the dignitaries highlighted the collective effort to emphasize the critical role of quality in shaping a better future for society. "We are delighted to see such a great turnout for the Quality Run . This event highlights the importance of quality in every aspect of life, and through this initiative, we aim to create greater awareness among the public,” said a spokesperson from the Bureau of Indian Standards.

The Quality Run also featured a variety of activities designed to spread knowledge about quality standards and encourage a healthier, more active lifestyle.The event took place at Sailee Degree College, located at M J Jr College of Science, Gorai Rd, MHB Colony, Mhada Colony, Borivali, Mumbai. The venue served as a central point for participants to gather and start the day with positive action and enthusiasm.

“We are thrilled to partner with BIS and Krutadnyata Foundation for such a meaningful cause. The participation today shows the collective interest in building a quality-driven future, and we look forward to organizing more events like this,” said a representative from Sailee Degree College.
