IIT Gandhinagar proudly hosted the satellite event of the prestigious PanIIT World of Technology (PIWOT) 2025 on the campus. The gathering brought together over 100+ prominent industrialists. The event served as a platform for innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking discussions on the role of technology in shaping the future.

Sushil Bhatia of WHEELS Global Foundation addressed the gathering, and noted: “By working together, we can achieve far more than what any one of us could accomplish alone. For thousands of years, humanity has been divided, but now is the time to join forces and create positive results.”

Prof Rajat Moona, Director of IIT Gandhinagar, extended a warm welcome to all the industrialists who had travelled from across the region. Highlighting the ever-evolving nature of technology, he remarked: “Technology is ever-changing; it’s the only constant I’ve observed throughout a professional journey of 40 years. Organisations that do not adapt risk falling behind. We invite everyone to collaborate and progress together.”

The event also showcased IIT Gandhinagar’s strong industry connections and ongoing projects. Prof Soumyadip Sett, Faculty in charge of Industry Connections at IIT Gandhinagar, highlighted the Institute's robust industrial network and its latest initiatives to foster impactful collaborations, EMasters programmes, and others. Additionally, Prof Naran Pindoriya, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Gandhinagar, captivated the audience with insights into energy assessment and sustainability studies, underscoring IIT Gandhinagar’s contributions to tackling pressing global challenges.

The industrialists explored the Centre for Creative Learning (CCL) and various state-of-the-art labs, including the Smart Manufacturing and Human-Centric Robotics Lab, Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Lab, Biomedical and Rehabilitation Lab, Maker Bhawan, and Tinkerer’s Lab. Their visit concluded with an insightful tour of the Research Park and Incubation Centre, where they interacted with innovative startups.
