South Central Zone Cultural Centre to organize programmes by child- artistes on “Veer Bal Diwas” today

On the occasion of 'Veer Bal Diwas', South Central Zone Cultural Centre SCZCC) is organizing programmes by child artistes at various places in the participating states of the Center today (December 26, 2024).The child artistes will perform various art forms at the programs organized in Pune, Indore, Bidar, Badlapur and Hyderabad.

At the SCZCC Nagpur campus, participating child artistes will put up dance, music and song performances in the cultural programme to be held at 5 pm today. This includes a powerful presentation of Dhol-Tasha Pathak by the children.

SCZCC Director Smt. Aastha Godbole Karlekar has appealed citizens to attend these programmes, which do not have any entry fee, and provide encouragement to the participating children. 

It was decided by the Government of India to celebrate 'Veer Bal Diwas' on 26 December from the year 2022, in memory of the sacrifice of Sahibzade Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji, the younger sons of the tenth Sikh Guru Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. “Veer Bal Diwas” is being celebrated every year with the aim of paying tribute to the great bravery and supreme sacrifice of the younger sons of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The Union Ministries of Culture and Women and Child Development, are organizing various programmes on "Veer Bal Diwas" across the country.
