FIT India Campaign: “Sundays on Cycle” Rally

As part of the nationwide FIT India campaign, the “Sundays on Cycle” initiative, organized by the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Bengaluru, saw a tremendous response across multiple locations in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka. Over 700 participants, including students, athletes, officials, and members of the general public, enthusiastically joined cycling rallies in 15 different locations.

The “Sundays on Cycle” campaign is part of the broader FIT India movement, which aims to promote a cycling culture, encourage fitness, and support sustainable practices. Participants expressed their enthusiasm and commitment, many pledging to make cycling a regular part of their daily routines.

Special Event in Bangalore:

A highlight of the campaign took place in Bangalore, where over 100 female hockey athletes participated in the initiative. The event was flagged off by renowned hockey icons Yuvraj Walmiki and Asunta Lakra in two separate ceremonies at the Sports Authority of India (SAI),NSSC Bengaluru. The athletes, along with other attendees, actively embraced the goal of promoting fitness and cycling, contributing to the success of the event.

The “Sundays on Cycle” initiative is a weekly event that encourages participation from schools, colleges, workplaces, and communities across all age groups. The campaign’s overarching goal is to make cycling an integral part of the community’s lifestyle, encouraging physical activity and fostering a culture of fitness and sustainability.
