Development and maintenance of National Highways (NHs) is a continuous process. The list of NH projects in Bihar approved for implementation are at Annexure-I. The list of ongoing NH projects in Bihar are at Annexure-II. The list of NH projects in Bihar completed during last ten years is at Annexure-III.
The bottlenecks in the ongoing and approved for implementation of NH projects in Bihar including Katihar are mainly due to delay in land acquisition, forest clearance, utility shifting, etc.
21 new toll plazas have been proposed in the State of Bihar. There is no new toll plaza proposed in Katihar district.
User fee rates on NHs throughout the country including Bihar are revised annually in accordance with NH Fee Rules 2008.
The details of toll plaza-wise number of toll tenders which have been extended beyond their original period are at Annexure-IV.
