Karnataka Postal Circle concludes Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign

In alignment with the Swachhata Hi Sewa campaign, the Karnataka Postal Circle conducted a fortnight of activities under Swachhata Pakhwada from 16th November to 30th November 2024. These initiatives aimed to promote and embed a culture of cleanliness and sustainability within our post offices and the wider community.

Key activities included:

  • Plantation Drive: Conducted under the banner of "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," reinforcing our commitment to environmental sustainability. 620 Saplings were planted during the Swachhata Pakhwada period.
  • Youth Connect Programme: Engaged young minds through essay writing competitions, fostering awareness and responsibility towards cleanliness.
  • Special Cleaning Drive: Focused on maintaining high standards of hygiene in post offices, ensuring a clean and healthy environment for all.
  • Evening Camps: Facilitated community engagement and discussions around the importance of cleanliness and sustainable living.
  • Recognition/Awarding Best Performing Divisions: Celebrated the efforts and achievements of divisions that demonstrated exceptional dedication to the Swachhata campaign.
  • Prabhat Pheris: Organized morning processions to connect the community around the theme of Swachhata and LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), encouraging active participation and awareness.
  • Swachhata Se Sreshtha Seva Goshtis: Goshtis organized at various post offices. These gatherings serve as platforms for postal employees to discuss strategies, share best practices, and engage in activities that promote a clean and efficient work environment.

These comprehensive activities involved active participation from the postal staff and the local communities, significantly contributing to the success of the campaign and reinforcing our dedication to the Swachh Bharat Mission's goals.
