Railway Minister and Chancellor Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw today addressed the second convocation ceremony of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, which began with the inspiration of The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.

As many as 239 students were awarded degrees of various faculties in the   glorious presence of The Vice Chancellor of the University, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Vice Chancellor and Minister of Railways, Gatishakti University said that due to the visionary leadership and determination of The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra  Modi, this University has become operational in Vadodara and it has arranged courses that are needed by the outside industrial community.

He also said that the Tata Airbus plant has also been commissioned in Vadodara city and Airbus  is going to need about 15,000 engineers in the coming days, in view of this, the Gatishakti University has coordinated with Airbus to prepare a curriculum in the way they need it. The same class room in which it is taught has also been planned to work in the industrial sector. 

 

Stating that it was prime minister Shri Narendra Modi's vision to build a world-class educational institution that teaches transportation and logistics only, the University of Gatishakti is making it a reality, Railway Minister Shri Vaishnav added that the talent of the students coming out of here after studying here will infuse new energy in the development of the country.

Highlighting the development in various sectors of the country under the leadership of The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Railway Minister said that the construction of  Metro, Bullet Train, Highways and Bridges is going on at a fast pace.

Expressing optimism that The Gatishakti University of Vadodara is one of the best universities in the country, the Railway Minister congratulated the students for their bright career. Four Gold Medalist students were awarded medals at the hands of dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel called upon the young degree holders of Gati Shakti Vidyalaya, who started their careers in the amrit period of independence, to play an important role in the creation of a developed India @ 2047.

He further said that a new chapter is going to start from today in the lives of the students who are going to start a career in the field of transport and logistics.

The Chief Minister, while guiding the awardees, said that wherever they work in the future, always remember one thing that their success will depend on what they contribute to the society and the nation with their hard work, discipline and good intentions.

At this time, the court member and MP of the university, Dr. Hemang Joshi delivered a relevant speech and awarded degrees to the students. Vice Chancellor Shri Manoj Chaudhary gave a report on the educational progress of the institute with a welcome address.

Apart from the Registrar of the University, officials of various departments of the Central and State Governments and local officials were present on the occasion.

 Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, Electronics & Information Technology, visited the state of the art Bulletin train track slab manufacturing factory in Kim village and the Plasser India Karjan plant near Vadodara in Gujarat. The facility at Kim can produce 120 slabs in a day and store up to 10000 slabs. The Minister inspected the ongoing works at the modern Rail Loading-Unloading System, Universal Tamping Machine, and other Railway track maintenance machines at the facility and commended the company's efforts in playing a significant role in the Make In India initiative and in enhancing opportunities for engineers and technicians to develop their skill levels. He highlighted the company's collaboration with Gati Shakti University in Vadodara that aims to offer specialised courses in manufacturing, design, and testing of railway maintenance machines, providing Indian youth with enhanced career opportunities both in India and abroad.
