The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises – Development & Facilitation Office (MSME DFO), located at CGO Complex, Seminary Hills, Nagpur, under the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, is organizing a two-day Vendor Development Program cum Buyer-Seller Meet at Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), Civil Lines, Nagpur, on 28th and 29th November 2024.

Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) such as WCL, MOIL, Powergrid, MECL, IOCL, banks, and GeM will participate as buyers in the event. They will present their annual product requirements and the documentation procedures for tendering.

Briefing about the event, Parineeta Pandhram, Assistant Director, MSME-DFO, stated that the program aims to promote Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) regarding the Public Procurement Policy under the MSMED Act, 2006. This policy mandates that all Central Government Ministries, Departments, and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) procure 25% of their annual purchases, including services, from MSEs, with 3% reserved for SC/ST and women entrepreneurs.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises from the Vidarbha region are encouraged to attend the program and explore opportunities to become suppliers to the participating CPSEs.
