Viksit Bharat Challenge to Kick Off on MY Bharat Platform; Digital Quiz Opens on 25th November 2024: A R Vijaya Rao, State Director NYKS

The Government of India has initiated a new platform for youth engagement. The “Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue” will replace the National Youth Festival in 2025, which aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision for increased youth participation in national development. To brief the details regarding this event a joint press conference by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and Sports Authority of India (SAI) was held today at the CGO Towers, Press Information Bureau, Kavadiguda. 
Addressing the media A R Vijaya Rao, State Director NYKS, said earlier this week that Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya had announced that the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue will take place during the National Youth Festival on January 11 and 12, 2025. The event, which is set to be held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, will feature an interaction between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and 3,000 youth leaders from across the country. 
The Viksit Bharat Challenge is a four-stage competition, which invites young people to participate and contribute ideas. Briefing the details,  she said the Viksit Bharat Challenge kicks off with an all-India digital quiz competition, scheduled from November 25 to December 5, 2024.  This competition is open to all individuals aged 15 to 29. The quiz will be hosted on the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) platform, testing participants knowledge of India’s landmark achievements. All details related to Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue—National Youth Festival 2025 will be made available on MY Bhart Platform (https://mybharat.gov.in/). 
Highlighting the core objectives of this year’s Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Smt Vijaya Rao stated that this year’s festival has been thoughtfully structured around two major goals. First, to bring new youth leaders into politics, responding to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s call during his Independence Day address to engage 1 lakh youth with non-political backgrounds in these spheres. Second, to ensure the meaningful contribution of youth towards a Viksit Bharat through a transparent and democratic, merit-based selection system.


Outlining the key objectives of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Nisha Vidhyarthi, Assistant Director, Sports Authority of India, said, “The festival aims to identify and nurture young talent, providing them a platform to share their ideas for Viksit Bharat”. 

N Mukesh Kumar, Triple Olympian Arjuna & Padamshree awardee, N Ramesh Chief Coach Athletics, Dronachary awardee, Nandini Agarsara Asian medalist 2022, who were also present during the press conferance, encouraged the youth of the state to participate in Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue in  large numbers and seize the opportunity.

Informing about celebrations of 'Samvidhan Divas' also known as Constitution Day Smt Vijaya Rao said that this year on 26th November to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, NYKS, Hyderabad is organizing a mega rally from Dr.B. R. Ambedkar Statue, near Secretariat Hyderabad.

Briefing about the Kashmir Youth Exchange Programme Sh. Khusbhu Gupta, District Youth Officer, said that with the support of Home Ministry - NYKS Hyderabad is organizing a 6-day Kashmiri Youth Exchange program starting from 25th to November 30th, 2024 at Co-operative Training Institute, Hyderabad. She said nearly 132 participants from various districts of Jammu Kashmir like Anantnag Kupwara, Budgam, Baramulla, Srinagar, and Pulwama and from Kashmiri Valley will participate in this program and get exposed to the Telangana’s rich heritage and culture, customs, and traditions.
