Rashtriya Raksha University and Chandigarh Police Unite Focuses on Enhancing Policing Expertise and Ensuring State Safety

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), Gandhinagar, Gujarat has officially signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Chandigarh Police. This collaboration aims to bolster the capabilities of law enforcement personnel through a series of comprehensive training programs designed to address contemporary challenges in policing.
Under this agreement, RRU will provide a diverse range of training formats, including classroom-based sessions, virtual learning opportunities, and hybrid models that combine both approaches. The focus of these programs will be on several critical areas:
- Cyber Crime Investigation Strategies: Participants will learn advanced strategies for investigating cybercrimes, equipping them with essential skills to combat digital threats effectively.
- Counterterrorism Methods: The partnership aims to enhance counterterrorism capabilities through targeted training that addresses current threats.
- VIP Security Protocols: Officers will be trained in protocols necessary for ensuring the safety and security of very important persons (VIPs).
- Foreign Language Proficiency: To improve communication with diverse communities, language proficiency programs will be offered to officials from the Punjab Police and many more. The university will provide many other trainings that will be proposed by the Punjab Police as per their requirements.

The signing ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, Vice Chancellor of Rashtriya Raksha University, and Shri Surendra Singh Yadav, IPS, Director General of Police for Chandigarh Police. The collaboration marks a significant step towards enhancing the skill sets of police personnel in Chandigarh.
During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel expressed his heartfelt gratitude for this partnership and underscored the long-term benefits that will arise from this collaboration for both institutions involved. He articulated that this MoU is pivotal in fostering knowledge sharing between RRU and Chandigarh Police, particularly in light of future developments within India’s security ecosystem.
Prof. Patel further emphasized the importance of this partnership in facilitating the upskilling and reskilling of Chandigarh Police personnel. He noted that comprehensive training is essential for enhancing performance in various operational areas where law enforcement officers require advanced skills and knowledge.

The training programs developed under this agreement are expected to address contemporary challenges faced by law enforcement agencies and equip officers with innovative strategies and tools necessary for effective policing.
