The Valediction Ceremony of the Orientation Programme “Uttarayan-2024”, a seven-week longtraining for the newly promoted ACsIT was held at National Academy of DirectTaxes (NADT), Nagpur on 25th October 2024 Hon’ble Shri Justice V.S. Sirpurkar, Former Judge, Supreme Courtof India was the Chief Guest for the occasion. 115 newly promoted Assistant Commissioners of Income Tax have undergone training at NADT, Nagpur in the Orientation Programme.

Through a meticulously planned curriculum,the orientation programme equipped the participants with the knowledge, skills,and mindset required to excel in their roles and contribute effectively to the development of the nation.

The training methodology is grounded in theconcept of "Viksit Bharat," in line with the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India focusing on fostering a culture of excellence,accountability, and innovation among the officers. The programme includes a mixof classroom sessions, practical exercises, case studies, and interactive discussions, covering various aspects of tax administration, leadership, andpublic service ensuring “PRUDENT” approach as envisaged by Chairman, CBDT.

The Chief Guest, Hon’ble Shri Justice V.S. Sirpurkar in his address congratulated the newly promoted officers on their elevation as officers of Indian Revenue Service. He reminded the officers to give utmost importance to integrity in professional life. Hefurther added to learn continuously and state facts of law in order and to bevery particular with the facts of the cases and be mindful that their actions will individual and citizen.

The proceedings concluded with a formal vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
