Generation of Digital Life Certificate at doorsteps through postmen for State/ Central Government/ EPFO Pensioners

Department of Posts is providing a platform for submission of Life Certificate in digital mode through India Post Payments Bank. Pensioners of Central/State Government, Army Pensioners and Employees Provident Fund Pensioners can avail this service at their doorsteps through Postmen.

 

Every year Pensioners are mandated to submit their Annual Life Certificate to receive their pension continuously without interruptions. In order to avoid the hassle faced by the pensioners while going in person to submit their Life certificate, India Post Payments Bank, under the Department of Posts has arranged for the doorstep services to the pensioners who had submitted their Digital Life Certificate through Jeevan Pramaan using the biometric authentication or Face RD App, with the nominal service charge of Rs.70/-. Pensioners can generate their digital life certificate through their area postman within few minutes by providing details like Aadhaar number, mobile number, PPO number, pension account details and biometric authentication.

 

In Chennai City Region, more than 4100 Postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks through 2194 Post Offices in urban and rural areas are being engaged for various doorstep services like Aadhaar-Mobile number Updating, new Aadhaar enrolment for Children below 5 years, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System withdrawals for Direct Benefit Transfers and submission of Digital Life Certificate for Pensioners.

 

During the last Finacial year 2023-24, more than One Lakh Pensioners have submitted their digital life certificate from doorsteps through Postmen.

 

Government introduced a Digital Life Certificate (Jeevan Pramaan) in 2014. In order to create awareness among all pensioners, India Post Payments bank under Department of Post and Department to Pension & Pensioners welfare (DOPPW) has organized an awareness program through Postman. To avail this service, special camps have been organized in all the post offices from 1st November 2024.

 

The Central/State Government Pensioners, Army Pensioners, EPFO Pensioners and all other eligible pensioners are requested to avail the doorstep services provided by Department of Posts through their area postmen for submitting their Digital Life Certificate. One can also register a service request through http://ccc.cept.gov.in/ServiceRequest/request.aspx or downloading “Postinfo” app.
