The Swachhata Hi Seva - 2024 campaign is being observed across Divisions / Offices of HAL from 17th Sept. 24 to 2nd Oct. 24 and 2nd October 2024 will be observed as Swachh Bharat Diwas. The main focus of the campaign is on public participation & public spaces cleaning. This year, the campaign emphasizes on three key pillars namely Swachhata Ki Bhagidaari, Sampoorna Swachhata incl. Swachhata Lakshit Ekayi and SafaiMitra Suraksha Shivirs.

Focusing on the Sampoorna Swachhata, Swachhata Lakshit Ekayi (Cleanliness Target Units-CTUs) at public spaces, i.e., Road-side Stretches, Commercial Market Areas, Educational Institutions, Parks, Community Centres, etc., have been identified at various locations, viz. Nasik, Bengaluru, Kanpur, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Korwa and Koraput wherein massive cleanliness drives are being organized for transforming these CTUs in co-ordination with local bodies and participation of citizens.

The other activities which are being undertaken during the events are: ‘Ek Ped Maa ke Naam’ wherein saplings are distributed and planted through massive Plantation drives; Awareness Sessions, Cyclothons, Marathons, Human Chains, Addressing Gram Sabhas and organizing Nukkad Natakas to sensitize the public about the importance of Swachhata & Swachh practices in daily life; Competitions on Swachhata at Schools to encourage students; Sensitizing vendors as part of Swachh Food Streets initiatives at local markets, etc.

One of the important activities undertaken during the Campaign is ‘SafaiMitra Suraksha Shivirs’ focusing on conducting single window health camps which are organized for SafaiMitras and awareness also crated to improve access in respect of various welfare & social protection schemes.

Through this Campaign, it is expected that thousands of people will be sensitized about the importance of Swachhata and the pride of the Swachh Bharat will be instilled amongst them. The campaign will result in cleaner surroundings and contribute to conservation of nature.
