“PM Vishwakarma First Year Anniversary Program at National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), Bengaluru”

The PM Vishwakarma 1st Anniversary Programme was celebrated today at Wardha, Maharashtra, graced by the Hon'ble Prime Minister. In line with this, several training centers across India participated virtually, with 50 centers from Karnataka identified for one-way interaction. Notably, NSTI Bengaluru, VTU Koppal, and IIGJ Udupi were selected for dignitary visits.
The event at NSTI Bengaluru, located in Yeshwanthpur, featured distinguished guests, including:
- Shri P.C. Mohan, Hon’ble Member of Parliament
- Smt. Kanagavalli M, IAS, Managing Director, KSDC
- Shri N.R. Aravindan, Regional Director, RDSDE Karnataka
Over 150 Vishwakarma beneficiaries attended the program, alongside officials from various organizations, including MSME DFO, KSDC, District Industries Center, KASSIA, Canara Bank, DSDO, and the NSDC State Engagement team.
Event Highlights:
- Shri P.C. Mohan, Hon’ble Member of Parliament inaugurated the Exhibition which showcased around 15 stalls featuring products from PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, highlighting the artisans’ craftsmanship. He interacted with the artisans and later elaborated on the incentives offered by the PM Vishwakarma scheme.
- The main event was commenced by dignitaries by lighting the lamp. Modern toolkits and educational materials for trainers and trainees were on display, emphasizing the program's commitment to skill development.
- Smt. Kanagavalli M, IAS, Managing Director, KSDC has shared valuable insights on skilling component of PM Vishwakarma.
- Shri N.R. Aravindan, Regional Director, RDSDE provided a comprehensive overview of the scheme, noting Karnataka's leading position with over 2,08,021 beneficiaries trained under PM Vishwakarma.
The event also included a certificate distribution ceremony:
- PM Vishwakarma Skill Recognition Certificates were awarded to seven registered beneficiaries.
- Over 118 candidates from different training centers received PM Vishwakarma Training Completion Certificates
- Loan sanction letters amounting to ₹1 lakh were provided to six beneficiaries, supporting their entrepreneurial ventures.
The PM Vishwakarma scheme aims to empower traditional artisans and promote skill development, fostering economic growth and sustainability in the region.
