The Additional Commissionerate of Income Tax, TDS Range-3, Chennai, under the able guidance of Shri M Karthikeyan, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, TDS Range-3, Chennai in association with Chartered Valuers Association of India conducted an Income Tax –TDS Awareness Webinar, today (19-09-2024) at Chennai, wherein, more than 70 Income Tax Deductors of various business sectors were participated and benefitted.

 

          This TDS Awareness Webinar was moderated by
CA Dr. Gopala Krishna Raju.

 

          In this TDS Awareness, the Income Tax Officials, Shri L Rajaraman,
Shri K Sendhil Kumar and Shri V Deepan Kumar addressed the deductors on various TDS / TCS provisions and its effective implementation, duties and responsibilities of deductor and non-compliance to TDS / TCS provisions and its consequences.

 

          CA. Dr. Gopala Krishna Raju and Income Tax Officials had an effective discussion on TDS / TCS provisions such as TDS on purchase of property u/s 194IA,  TDS on payments by the Firm to its partners u/s 194T (which is going to implemented w.e.f 1/4/2025), transfer of TDS credit in the case of minor to the guardian on clubbing of Income under Rule 37BA, difference between TDS on purchase of property u/s 194IA and TDS on  compensation paid to the property owners u/s 194LA, TCS on transfer of fund to abroad under LRS u/s 206C(1G).          The deductors were informed the several initiatives taken by the TDS Chief Commissionerate of Income Tax, Chennai on issue of Pamphlets, Manuals, TRACES videos and TDS Chatbot (TDS Nanban).
