Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune recently conducted a ‘Management Development Programme for the Empowerment of Women Branch Managers/ Assistant Branch Managers of Pune District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd’. The training programme, held from August 24 to 25, 2024, brought together 30 participants for a two-day intensive training focused on enhancing leadership skills, personal effectiveness, team dynamics, and overall management capabilities.

The programme was inaugurated with notable attendees, including Mrs. Nirmala Jagade and Ms. Puja Butte Patil, Women Directors of PDCC Bank, alongside Mrs. Mohini Jagadale, Manager-Admin at PDCC Bank. Also present were Shri. R. K. Menon, Professor-VAMNICOM, Mrs. Vijayashri Bhagawati, Programme Director-VAMNICOM, and Ms. Sonal Kadam, Joint Programme Director-VAMNICOM. Shri. R. K. Menon delivered the welcome address, setting the tone for an enriching training experience.

The valediction ceremony featured Dr. Hema Yadav, Director-VAMNICOM, who addressed the participants with an inspiring message. Director-VAMNICOM encouraged the attendees to harness the insights gained from the programme to drive impactful changes, lead with confidence, and uphold excellence within the cooperative sector.

This training initiative is part of a broader collaboration between VAMNICOM and PDCC Bank, which has seen a total of six training programmes conducted so far, including two focused specifically on women’s empowerment. The successful execution of this programme underscores the ongoing commitment of both institutions to fostering leadership and growth within the cooperative community.
