The Central GST and Central Excise, Commissionerate, Coimbatore celebrated the 78th Independence Day. 

Shri. K. Ramakrishnan, IRS., Commissioner hoisted the National Flag and delivered the Independence Day address. 

The Commissioner urged the officers of the GST Commissionerate to be a bridge between the government and the taxpayer ensuring compliance, facilitation, transparency and ease of doing business. He also emphasised the need to embrace technology and leverage data analytics to streamline day to day processes and. 

The Commissioner also impressed upon the theme of this Independence Day, “Vikshit Bharat” by underlining the importance of always recognizing the Tax payers, entrepreneur, and the countless individuals, who form the backbone of our economy. The recipients of Samman Patra and Medals in National level Sports Competitions were felicitated.
