SIRC of ICAI holds “Jignasa-The Quest for Knowledge ” 56th Regional Conference for Chartered Accountants At Bengaluru

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) - Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) 56th Regional Conference of SIRC of ICAI: A Celebration of Knowledge and Professional Excellence Bengaluru, August 9-10, 2024
Around 3500 Chartered Accountants across southern India attended the two day Regional Conference of Knowledge sharing and celebrations on 9th and 10th August 2024.
The Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (SIRC of ICAI) conducted its 56th Regional Conference, hosted by the Bengaluru Branch, at Tripura Vasini, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru. This prestigious two-day event, held on August 9-10, 2024, brought together around 3500 Chartered Accountants from various parts of the Southern Region, including Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Puducherry.
The conference theme, "JIGNASA – The Quest for Knowledge," reflects our commitment to continuous learning and professional excellence. The aim behind conducting this regional conference on such a mega scale was to provide a platform for Chartered Accountants to engage in thought-provoking discussions, gain insights from industry leaders, and explore new horizons in the field of accountancy
In the Inaugural Session, Sri. Shelley Jindal, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka and Goa, and Dr. Binoy Kumar Das Director General -ECS from DRDO. participated as Guest of Honour. Chief Guest, CA. Ranjeet K. Agarwal, President of ICAI, delivered the ICAI Presidential Address.
A series of nine technical sessions covering a wide range of topics such as India's Growth Journey, Future of Accountancy Profession, Resolution of GST Issues, Exploring Global Opportunities, Technology in CA Practice, and more were discussed. Esteemed speakers and panelists include CA. Nilesh Shah, CA. Vikram Kothari, and Dr. C.N. Manjunath, among others spoke to the Huge audience consisting of CAs assembled in the huge auditorium.
"Healthy CA is a Healthy Balance Sheet" by Padma Shri awardee Dr. C.N. Manjunath, Eminent Cardiologist and Elected MP from Bangalore south was the key highlight of the session
Cultural Program:
The response to the vibrant cultural evening featuring performances by Mr. Rishab Shetty, renowned actor and director, violinist Mr. Rejigopinath, and the Music Mansion Band was welcomed and enjoyed by the gathering.
Chairperson SIRC, CA. Geetha A B, presided over the valedictory session, where outstanding branches of SIRC were awarded. The conference was an excellent opportunity for Chartered Accountants to gain 12 hours of Continuous Professional Education (CPE) credits, network with peers, and stay updated with the latest developments in the profession.
