The Honourable Minister for Education, Government of India, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2024) on 12.08.2024 which ranks the institutions across the country under different categories such as Engineering, management, pharmacy, architecture, law, medical, dental, agriculture, Overall, innovation and research. The evaluation is based on the performance of the institutions in Teaching, Learning and resources, research and professional practices, graduation outcomes, outreach and inclusivity, and perception.

 

National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Karaikal ranked 97 in Engineering category among the thousands of technical institutions across the country. The director Prof. Dr. Makarand Madhao Ghangrekar congratulated the Registrar, Dr. S. Sundaravarathan, faculty and staff members, and students for this achievement. The director in his statement pointed out that the institute grows exponentially in recent years in terms of infrastructure development, creation of research facilities, faculty and staff strength, research publications, granting of patents, sponsored research and consultancy projects, placement and higher studies, graduation of Ph.D. scholars, students’ participation in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, NSS and NCC activities, industry-institute interaction, Outreach activities and activities by Alumni. The director has also pointed out that all necessary steps are being taken for further growth of the institute and improvement in ranking in forthcoming years.
