Center Administrator of Sakhi One Stop Centre Bengaluru among special invitees at Independence Day Celebrations in Delhi

Amitha Athresh HR is one among those fortunates who have been invited as special guests from Karnataka to witness the 78th Independence Day Celebrations in Delhi. She has also been named as the Nodal officer from Karnataka for Independence Day Celebrations.
Amitha works as the Center Administrator of Sakhi One Stop Centre in Bengaluru, which works to provide integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence and in distress, both in private and public spaces under one roof. It facilitates immediate, emergency and non-emergency access to a range of services including medical, legal, temporary shelter, police assistance, psychological and counseling support to fight against any forms of violence against women.
While sharing her delight with PIB, Bengaluru upon being invited as a special guest, Amitha said, “I had never missed the Independence program at my school. It used to fill me with immense pride for my nation. I used to participate in various programs including a fancy dress competition presenting myself in freedom fighters’ attires.”
“I used to watch the glimpses of festivities organized in Delhi on important national festivals including Independence day and Republic day. I used to wait impatiently to watch the Karnataka Tableau in the Republic day Parade on TV, ” she added.
She further said that she feels thrilled with the thought that she has got a chance to witness such an important national event in-person.
