Jodhpur and Bundi identified under Swadesh Darshan 2.0 for promotion of tourism

The Ministry of Tourism through its central sector scheme of ‘Swadesh Darshan’ complements the efforts of tourism infrastructure development by extending  financial  assistance to the  State Governments/UT Administrations in consultation with them and  as per scheme guidelines.  Under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, the Ministry of Tourism sanctioned 4 projects for Rs.283.47 Crore in Rajasthan.  The Ministry has recently revamped this scheme as  Swadesh Darshan 2.0 and  has  identified  57 destinations  in the country for  development in consultation with the State Governments including ‘Bundi (Keshoraipatan)’ and ‘Jodhpur’ in the State of  Rajasthan and has  sanctioned  1 project  ‘Spiritual Experience in Keshoraipatan’ for Rs.17.37 Crore.   

This information was given by Union Tourism Minister Sh. Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Rajya Sabha in a reply to the question raised by the Rajya Sabha MP Sh. Chunnilal Garasiya.
