2024-25 Budget allocation for Karnataka is nine times more than annual average budget during 2009-2014: Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw

Karnataka has been allocated 7,559 crore rupees in this Budget, which is nine times more than the annual average budget allocated for the state in 2009-14, said Minister for Railways Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw during a press conference today.

 

Union Minister addressed Press Conference today in Delhi, where he apprised the journalists present in Delhi as well as the journalists joined through online mode from Divisional Railway Manager Office, Bengaluru, about the provisions made in Union Budget for Karnataka railway projects.

 

“Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has allocated an annual budget to Karnataka , which is nine times more than the average annual budget allocated during 2009-14. The budget allocated this year is 7,559 crore rupees while the annual average budget allocated during 2009-14 was 835 crore rupees”, he said.

While elaborating upon the railway related developments taking place in the state, the Union minister said that a total 59 railway stations in Karnataka will be developed as Amrit Stations.He further added that there are 31 ongoing projects (new tracks) in Karnataka worth 47,016 crore rupees. These ongoing projects (new tracks) are spread across 3,840 kms.

In Karnataka, a total 638 rail flyovers and under bridges have been constructed in last ten years.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Shri Yogesh Mohan , ADRM Shri Parikshit Mohanpuria, Senior DCM Shri Krishna Chaitanya were present during the virtual Press conference at DRM, Bengaluru office.
