Get the Prasad of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple through Speed post at doorsteps across the country in the month of Sawan - Postmaster General Krishna Kumar Yadav


Get the offerings of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple sitting at home by sending e-Money Order of only ₹ 251 through Postal Department

Pious month of Sawan is starting from 22th July. Everyone wishes that he can have a glimpse of the Jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva and get their blessings. After the inauguration of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Corridor by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the number of devotees in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple has significantly increased. Through the Speed post service of the Department of Posts, people can get the offerings of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple at their door steps sitting at home in any corner of the country including Gujarat. In the month of Sawan, Postal department has made special arrangements for this. The above information was given by Shri Krishna Kumar Yadav, Postmaster General of Ahmedabad Region, who recently transferred here from Varanasi.

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav said that under an agreement signed between the Department of Posts and Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, devotees residing in any corner of the country can order Prasad from Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple through Speed Post. To avail this service, an e-money order of 251 has to be remitted from the nearest Post Office in the name of Senior Superintendent of Post Office, Varanasi (East) Division-221001. As soon as the e-money order is received, the Prasad will be sent through Speed Post to the addressee immediately. The packaged Prasad will be in a tamper proof envelope, on which a replica of the postage stamp issued on the Ghat of Varanasi is inscribed. It cannot be tampered in any way.

Contents of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Prasad

Postmaster General Mr. Krishna Kumar Yadav told that the Prasad includes image of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Jyotirlinga, Mahamrityunjay Yantra, Shri Shiv Chalisa, 108 beads of Rudraksh garland, coin having Bhole Baba’s image inscribed with Mata Annapurna, Bhabhuti, Raksha Sutra , Rudraksh bead, dry fruits, mishri packet etc. Since the Prasad is dry, it may be used for a long time.

He also added that the Postal Department has also made arrangements that the devotees will get the details of Speed Post on mobile number through SMS. For this, it will be mandatory for them to write their full address, pin code and mobile number in the e-money order.
