As a part of the diamond jubilee celebration of National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is organizing a two-week summer certification course on Android App Development from 1st July to 12th July 2024.

With the increase in usage of smart devices including smartphones, app development is gaining importance and subsequently the career prospects are significant. Skilled app developers are in high demand,
with job prospects ranging from startups to tech giants. Considering the same, the course being aimed to enhance the employability skills of youths covers the core concepts that are related to app development and the various security features involved in it.

The speciality of the course is that it not only targets the currently pursuing students of Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and other equivalent branches, but also accommodates the graduated students under its eligibility purview. The course will be organized in offline mode with extensive hands-on sessions handled by experts from both esteemed industry and academia. Apart from the usual participation certificate, participants who score top 10% mark in the certification exam conducted at the end of the course will be awarded a merit certificate.

The seats are limited to 60, with selection based on first come first serve and merit basis.
