The Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) is thrilled to organise the MEPZ Run on 03 March, 2024 at MEPZ Park Tambaram.  This year marks the 8th edition of the popular event, expecting around 5,000 participants for a unique running experience through the scenic beauty of the MEPZ campus, all while promoting health and wellness.

More than just a race, the MEPZ Run is a platform that aims to:.

• Promote a healthy lifestyle among MEPZ staff, the local community, and running enthusiasts.
• Invest surplus funds in green initiatives within the MEPZ, fostering environmental sustainability.
• Increase awareness of MEPZ and its potential for businesses, showcasing it as a hub for economic growth and talent acquisition

• A scenic course through the lush green valley within the MEPZ campus.
• Multiple categories: Half Marathon (21.09 km), MEPZ Run (10 km), and MEPZ Run (5 km).
• Early morning start with stunning twilight views.
• Challenging yet rewarding course with gentle inclines and declines.
• Supportive environment for both competitive and casual runners.

Shri R Sudhakar, IPS, Additional Commissioner Traffic Police as Chief Guest for the event will add more excitement to  the dawn of the day.

Special Guest, Shri S. Arunraj, IAS, Chengalpet District Collector, Shri Aravindan, IPS Zonal Director NCB, Shri VV Sai Praneeth, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Dr. C Sylendra Babu, IPS, former DGP and the  Guest of Honor Shri Alex Paul Menon, IAS, Development Commissioner, MEPZ, and  Shri Arthur Worchuiyo IAS Joint Development Commissioner MEPZ  will grace the occasion.

Prize category:

Half Marathon: 1st Prize ₹20,000, 2nd Prize ₹15,000 and 3rd Prize ₹10,000.

10 KM Run: 1st Prize ₹10,000, 2nd Prize ₹7,500 and 3rd Prize ₹5,000.

5 KM Run: 1st Prize ₹7,500, 2nd Prize ₹5,000 and 3rd Prize ₹3,000.

Prizes will be given for 4 category each in Female from the age of 18 yrs to 44 yrs, Male from the age of 18 yrs to 49 yrs, Female above the age of 45 yrs and Male above the age of 50 yrs.

All runners will receive:

• A goody bag with a running t-shirt, running bib (with timing chip), and a medal.

A hot breakfast to refuel, network and socialize.
