National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar, has started the four days training programs

National Institute of Fashion Technology, Gandhinagar, has started the four days training programs jointly with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, on quality appreciation and visual merchandising for the women members of the group of Badarwas Jacket Producers Company Ltd from 13-16 February 2024. This outreach training program aims to provide comprehensive coverage of topics including jackets, fabric defects, pattern development, construction, finishing, and quality appreciation sessions.
The inaugural session was inaugurated by Professor Dr Sameer Sood, Director of NIFT Gandhinagar in the presence of Prof. Piyush Kumar Sinha, Chief Mentor (SVEP) at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. The faculty members from the fashion design department also participated in the inauguration ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Sameer Sood interacted with individual participants and shared insights from his experience and association with the Badarwas Cluster. He emphasized the cluster's commendable work in producing cost-effective jackets.
He highlighted that India and the world can learn valuable lessons in competitiveness and cost-effectiveness from the Badarwas Cluster , however the cluster has to learn and adopt best of the best quality standards , finishing methods and be updated with the new trends and designs to come in the mainstream apparel markets .
He emphasized the workshop's significance in learning patternmaking and finishing techniques and ensuring quality garment construction.
Prof. Piyush Kumar Sinha addressed the participants, highlighting that the training program will enhance their skill sets and facilitate knowledge acquisition for skill upgrades.
