The first Make in India semiconductor fab will commence production in Gujarat in 2024: Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw

The first Make in India semiconductor fab will commence production in Gujarat in 2024, announced Union Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw during his address at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

He praised the state's progress in technology and new industries, attributing it to the vision of the Prime Minister and the capabilities of Gujarat. The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, with its focus on developing India and Gujarat as a hub for advanced technology, received accolades from the minister. He also commended the rapid progress of the Bullet Train project, emphasizing its significance and Japan's support in its successful implementation.

Sanjay Mehrotra, CEO of Micron, expressed gratitude for the collaboration between the state and central governments, foreseeing the development of a robust semiconductor supply chain in India. The Prime Minister's leadership is crucial in meeting the global demand for semiconductors and electronics, with Gujarat playing a significant role in contributing to this supply chain.
