Fifth group of Tamil devotees including farmers and artisans named after sacred river ‘Narmada’ reached Kashi to attend Kasi Tamil Sangamam Phase II

The fifth batch of Tamil devotees named after sacred river ‘Narmada’ reached Kashi on Monday to participate in Kashi Tamil Sangamam Phase II. As soon as they landed in Banaras, the South Indian guests were greeted with the name 'Vanakkam Kashi'. The guests were welcomed with Swastika recitation and showering of flowers amidst the beats of drums. People of Narmada group (farmers & artisans) said that they are happy that they will worship Baba Vishwanath in Kashi and be able to have darshan of Lord Ram Lala in Prayagraj Sangam Snan, and Ayodhya. They thanked the Prime Minister for this.

Special preparations for guests:

Special preparations have been made for the guests. They will get a glimpse of the art culture of both Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, the group will also visit Prayagraj and then Ayodhya while visiting Kashi Vishwanath Dham, Kaal Bhairav Temple, Sarnath, Hanuman Ghat, Ganga Aarti and other places.

Kashi will host South Indian guests for 14 days:

In Kashi, Tamil guests will witness and experience the food, lifestyle and costumes of South India as well as the love and affection of the people of Kashi towards each other. More than 1400 delegates comprising 200 people in each group of Students (Ganga), Teachers (Yamuna), Professionals (Godavari), Spiritual (Saraswati), Farmers and Artisans (Narmada), Writers (Sindhu) and Traders and Businessmen (Kaveri) named after seven sacred rivers of India will travel from Chennai, Coimbatore and Kanyakumari to Kashi. According to Tamil calendar, this time Kashi Tamil Sangamam Phase II has been organized in the month of Margali (Margashirsha).
