The Union Minister for Tribal Affairs and Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare Shri Arjun Munda today stated that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi always speaks of uplifting people of the backward section of the society, those who belong to the Janjati and downtrodden and bring them to the mainstream to help country outshine. To make his dream comes true, the Union Ministry for Tribal Affairs is making no stone unturned, remarked Shri Munda today while addressing a gathering at Betkundri, Jhargram, today on the occasion of observing the 21st Bhasa Diwas for Santhali language.
While addressing the gathering, Shri Munda stated, we should always look at those people who are socially, educationally and culturally lagging Behind due to their social status as our brothers and sisters and drag them upwards to merge with the mainstream and thus help the country to progress more. For this, he said, Rs 24,000 crore has been alloted by his ministry and that was announced from the birthplace of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.
The Minister also spoke of 740 Eklavya Model schools of the country with residential facilities which are imparting CBSE curriculum and encouraging education through local language to help Tribal children receive Holistic Education and achieve to come to the mainstream in the long run.
Among the dignitaries present on the occasion was Shri Kunar Hembram, MP Jhargram.
