Prime Minister launches Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth
Governor urges academicians to prepare the best resource that would lead into a developed nation

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi launched ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ via video conferencing today. During the program, the Prime Minister addressed the Vice Chancellors of Universities, Heads of Institutes and faculty members in workshops organized at Raj Bhawans across the country to mark the beginning of this initiative.

Raj Bhawan, Kolkata also organized a workshop with vice chancellors of the various universities including Calcutta University, Jadavpur University, Visva Bharati University, Rabindra Bharati University, Techno India University, etc. participating in panel discussions on “Empowered India; Thriving and Sustainable Economy; Innovation, Science and Technology; Good Governance and Security; India in the World, etc.

The panellists discussed various ways and shared insights into the pivotal role of educational institutions and the youth in achieving the ambitious target of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. They also emphasised on the importance of working on a mission mode to channelize the spirit of the future leaders of the country.

Addressing to the VCs and Heads of the Educational Institutes, Governor of West Bengal, Dr C V Ananda Bose said that we have very rich cultural and historical heritage leading to prosperity and progress. We need to follow our ancient heritage to take the country forward and make it Vishwaguru. The Governor stated that it is the responsibility of the teachers and academicians in the country to prepare the best resource that would lead into a developed nation. There cannot be a better time to start a campaign like this, the Governor added.

The Viksit Bharat workshops will play pivotal roles in initiating the process of engaging youngsters to share their ideas and suggestions to make India a developed nation by 2047 when India will complete 100 years of its Independence.
The vision beholds different aspects of development, including economic growth, social progress, good governance and environmental sustainability, among others.
