Government of lndia has announced the sale of Wheat/ Rice to bring down the retail prices  of Wheat/Rice in the open market. Food Corporation of lndia, Tamil Nadu Region will release Wheat  FAq Wheat URS and Rice for traders under Open Market Sale Scheme (D) for registered bulk  buyers/traders/manufacturers of Wheat/ Rice products. FCI is conducting weekBy OMSS (D)  eAuctions at pre-determined reserve price. The current market price of wheat and Rice is Rs.44/ per  Kg and Rs. 55/- per Kg respectively. FCI is offering Rice and Wheat as per the directions of Ministry in  order to stabilize the price in the market and control inflation. Tamil Nadu region is floating tender  for e-auction for sale of Wheat/ Rice on every Friday.

8 Revenue Districts Such as Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, 

A.  Nagapatinam, Mayiladuthurai, Thiruvarur, Pudukottai 

5 Depots such as FSD Sembanarkoil, CWC Trichy, CWC Thanjavur, TNWC Trichy and 

B  TNWC Pudukottai 

FCI, RO, Tamilnadu has offered 11000 MT of Wheat(FAQ/URS) and 5200 MT of Non  Fortified Rice out of which the depots under Divisional office, Thanjavur are offering 100 MT Oof  Wheat URS for the Tender Dated: 08.12.2023 

For Wheat, Processor/Flour Millers/Manufacturers of wheat products can bid for a minimum  quantity of 10 MT and maximum bidding quantity per bidder for all the Regions put together in a  single e-auction of FAQ/URS wheat shall not exceed 200 MT. Reserve Price for Wheat URS and  Wheat FAQ are Rs:21.25/Kg and Rs: 21.50/Kg respectively. 

For rice, Traders/Bulk buyers/Manufacturers of rice products can bid for a minimum  quantity of 10 MT and maximum biding quantity per bidder for all the depots put together in.a  single e-auction of rice in a region shall not exceed 1000 MT. Reserve Price for Non Fortified Rice  Rs:29/Kg.
