Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra - a continuous story of positive change in Meghalaya

In an endeavour to connect with its citizens, the government started its journey towards a developed nation through Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra—a transformative journey that exemplifies Government's commitment to the well-being of its citizens, covering all to the remotest corners of the country. The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is not just a programme, it's a collective effort that brings together various government departments. This initiative is across the states, leaving an indelible mark in all the corners of the country.

In a proactive move towards comprehensive citizen welfare, a Health Screening initiative was conducted along with other services as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra at Garikhana in Shillong today morning.

The program was meticulously organized with the primary objective of achieving widespread coverage of government schemes, ensuring their maximum utilization, and ultimately delivering their benefits to citizens across Meghalaya and the nation at large.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra embodies a larger vision of comprehensive social and economic upliftment, aiming to reach the grassroots level and bring forth the realization of various governmental initiatives to every corner of the state. By conducting on spot health screenings, issuing of Ayushman Card, Aadhar updation and extending support to street vendors through PM-SVANidhi, this initiative aligns with the overarching goal of ensuring inclusivity and access to essential services for all segments of society.

A beneficiary of PM-SVANidhi Smt Please-Mary Dkhar, a shop-owner said that the scheme has been very helpful to her and it was very easy to avail loan through the Scheme. She informed that through the scheme she could expand her shop. She also informed that on the first installment she has received the loan amount of Rs 10,000 the first time and second time she received Rs 20,000.

Smt Robina Ryntathiang a street vendor was delightful to share that she had received the benefits of many schemes from the Government. She informed that she has received MGNREGA, MHIS- PMJAY card among others. The MHIS-PMJAY was very helpful when she was admitted in the hospital, she added.

From free health check-ups, including TB screening, anaemia screening the Yatra is a beacon of hope and assistance. Where common people are getting information about various government schemes and they also get to know about how they can enrol themselves for getting the benefits of the schemes.

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra symbolizes the government's proactive attitude in caring for its citizens. It's not only about disseminating information but also about standing shoulder to shoulder with communities in need, providing essential services where it matters the most.

At present Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being carried out across different gram panchayats of Meghalaya in all the districts and Urban areas of Shillong concurrent with its nationwide journey. Similar activities were carried out in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra camp organised at Laban Last Stop in Shillong later today.
