The Signal & Telecommunication Department of Sealdah Division proudly announces the successful implementation of the Integrated Passenger Information System (IPIS), a transformative initiative that enhances passenger experience and convenience across the division. The IPIS, strategically positioned across platforms and concourses, delivers real-time train arrival and departure information, platform allocation details and crucial updates through digital display boards and automated voice announcements. This comprehensive system eliminates confusion and uncertainty, providing timely and accurate information to millions of passengers daily.

Key Features of the Integrated Passenger Information System (IPIS):

Strategic Placement: Positioned strategically for clear visibility across platforms and concourses.

Automated Voice Announcements: Seamless voice announcements for train arrivals, departures, and platform changes.

Integration with Existing Systems: The system seamlessly integrates with existing railway systems for accurate and up-to-date information.

This innovative work is undertaken by the Signal & Telecommunication Department of Sealdah division under the guidance of Shri Deepak Nigam, Divisional Railway Manager, Sealdah. This initiative aligns with the Railways' commitment to leveraging technology for improved passenger services.
