As part of the ‘Rozgar Mela’ initiative to provide government jobs to 10 lakh youths, 11^th Tranche of Rozgar Mela was organised by the Income Tax Department and CGST Commissionerate Chennai north zone, on 30.11.2023 in Chennai. 

Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi launched the Rozgar Mela and virtually addressed the new recruits.  On this occasion the Chief Guest Hon’ble Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Labour and Employment Shri. Rameswar Teli presented appointment letters to the new recruits of the Income Tax Department, Department of Posts, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangattan and Department of Higher Education in Chennai and addressed the gathering.

Dr Ram Niwas Chief Commissioner of CGST Tamilnadu & Puducherry zone presented the appointment letters to the new recruits in another Rozgar Mela venue at Chennai.

On this occassion, Shri. Sunil Mathur, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry delivered the welcome address.  Smt. Jayanthi Krishnan, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai-1 & Shri. D.N. Kar, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai-3 graced the occasion.

Today in Rozgar Melas held in Chennai 217 candidates got their appointment letters. Senior Officers, Officials and the parents of the new recruits witnessed the event.
