Samvidhan Diwas and Janjatiya Gaurav Divas celeberated at NIFT Gandhinagar Campus

The celebration of Samvidhan Diwas, which takes place every year on 26th November, is a celebration that not only honours the adoption of India's Constitution but also supports its goals and principles. 

NIFT Gandhinagar Campus invited all faculty members and staff members to take part in the "Constitution Day" pledge, which is intended to honour and commemorate the achievements made by the Founding Fathers.

The Oath was read by Prof. Dr. Sameer Sood, Director NIFT, Gandhinagar in both hindi and english.

Shri Birsa Munda, an iconic freedom fighter, social reformer, and tribal leader, was honoured with flower petals and garland which was recognised by the Government as "Janjatiya Gaurav Divas" the previous year on 15th November. The gesture was taken in order to pay tribute to the brave individuals who fought for the freedom of tribal communities.

Prof Dr Sameer Sood Director of NIFT Gandhinagar said that NIFT students organized a tribal photo-story competition was held to promote India's unique tribal variety.

The competition was organised by the Gandhinagar Campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Gandhinagar  to remember the contribution of the tribal freedom fighters.  Through the creation of handmade items and documentaries that focused on the way of life and culture of tribal groups, students demonstrated their engagement with the indigenous ethnic community.

Akash Mishra, a student in the Textile Design Department, presented a poem that was about the Rathwa tribal people and the trade that they engage in. In addition to receiving a gold medal, Mishra also won the award.
