The national programme Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) started on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas (November 15, 2023) gained momentum in West Bengal as the poor, downtrodden people are witnessed thronging the IEC vans moving in the interior villages to make people of the area and the vicinity aware of the beneficial schemes of the Centre. A number of beneficiaries also were  approaching the representatives of the several Central departments, like vans and oil companies present there and enquiring about new details regarding bank loans and Pradhanmantri Ujjwala Yojana.

 

At Jhargram district of West Bengal, the IEC vans have reached the Gidhni and Ergeda villages of Jamboni block of the district. There initiatives were taken to provide services of the several Government schemes as well as make them aware of the benefits of such schemes to the beneficiaries with the help of NABARD, Krishi Vikash Kendra, Gas Company, National Fertiliser Company Limited, Jhargram Krishak Producer Company Limited and Central Bureau of Communication.

 

Besides, there was a live demonstration of the spreading of pesticides through drones.

Similar programme is also continuing in Alipurduar district of North Bengal. The IEC van is stationed today in the Malangi Gram Panchayat area under Kalchini block of Alipurduar. Several beneficiaries thronged VBSY site and the representatives of various Government departments were seen talking to them to make them aware of the beneficial schemes of the Centre. Here also, there was a live demonstration programme of the spreading of pesticides through drones.
