National Institute of Fashion Technology Convocation 2023

National Institute of Fashion Technology is a premier Institute of Design, Management and Technology set up under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The Institute provides a common platform for fashion education, research and training. NIFT has been granted statutory status under the Act of Parliament of India in 2006. NIFT Act, 2006 empowers the Institute to award degrees and other academic distinctions. NIFT offers Bachelor Degree Courses and Master Degree Courses in the areas of Design, Technology and Management.

National Institute of Fashion Technology has set academic standards and excelled in thought leadership by providing a pool of creative genius and technically competent professional. The Institute provides a common platform for fashion education, research and training

NIFT, Chennai is currently ranked at 4th position in India Today survey and Outlook survey among the top 5 Fashion Institutes in India. Also, NIFT, Chennai has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015 Standard.

CONVOCATION-2023

NIFT, Chennai scheduled its 12th Convocation for the passing out batch of 2023 on November 18, 2023 at 11.00 am in NIFT, Chennai Auditorium.

Hon'ble Governor of Nagaland Shri. La. Ganesan will be the Chief Guest

Hon'ble Governor of Nagaland Shri. La. Ganesan Chief Guest will deliver the convocation address and give away the Degree Certificates to 282 graduating students of NIFT, Chennai and also present the Gold Medals, Cash Award and Merit Certificates to the 37 Meritorious Students. Prof. Dr. Anitha Manchar, Director, NIFT Chennai will deliver the welcome address and present the academic report for the year 2022-2023. The Director General, NIFT will deliver the presidential address to the graduating students. Prof. Dr. Sudha Dhingra, Dean (Academics) will read the Convocation Pledge.

Dignitaries from the Industry, Academia, faculty members, Staff, Students and Alumni of NIFT will also participate and grace the occasion.
