Food Corporation of India (FCI), Zonal Office (East), Kolkata organized “Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 4.0” with the theme “Swachh Bharat, Swasth Bharat” and facilitating RashtriyaEktaDiwas on the memory of India’s first Dy. Prime Minister & Home Minister, Sardar Vallavbhai Patel, on Tuesday (October 31, 2023).

The run started at 04:00 PM from FCI, Zonal Office (East), 10A, Middleton Row, Kolkata, covered a distance of 3.0 Kms through Middleton Row, Camac Street, Middleton Street, Jawaharlal Nehru Road and Mayo Road and ended at 04:50 PM at FCI Sports Pavilion, Maidan Tent, Dufferin Road, Kolkata. The event was led by Shri. Hemant Kumar Jain, General Manager (East Zone), FCI along with Shri. Krishna Chandra Mishra, GM (Accts.) and Shri. Sudhir Kumar, GM (Genl.). Approximately 80 officers and officials of FCI, Zonal Office (East) participated in the run.

Before starting of the Swachhata Freedom Run, “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pleadge” was read by all the participants, led by GM (East Zone). FCI, Zonal Office (East) expressed heartfelt thanks to Kolkata Police for extending co-operation towards successful organisation of “Fit India Swachhata Freedom Run 4.0”.
