Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai handed over 214 appointment letters of Government jobs to the youths on the occasion of Rozgar Mela at Dr B C Roy Auditorium, Sealdah today. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining the Government in various Ministries/Departments including Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, and 

Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, among others.

The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the Rozgar Mela from Delhi. The PM distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters today. Rozgar Melas were held at 37 locations across the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Nityanand Rai said that this country is the country of youth and they are capable of taking the country forward. Central Government under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is fully committed to recruit these young minds in various departments of the central government.

India with the contribution of these young minds will become 3rd largest economy in the world, the Minister said, adding that Rozgar Mela is an attempt to institutionalise government's recruitment process with a focus of transparency. The Minister extended gratitude to the Prime Minister for initiating this unique process of recruiting youths to make the country self-reliant.

The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 673 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.

 

Shri Sumit Kumar, AGM, Eastern Railway; Miss Zarina Firdausi, PCPO, Eastern Railway and Shri Dipak Nigam, DRM, Sealdah among others were also present on the occasion.
