NSS (Chennai) organizes Meri Maati Mera Desh Amrit Kalash Yatra

LOYOLA COLLEGE, CHENNAI NSS volunteers took pledge to fulfil their duties and responsibilities towards development of our nation. This pledge started with picking up rice from pot and remembering our friendly farmers. Honourable Prime minister Narendra Modi told to citizens of India to take a solemn pledge covering Panch Praan and affirming their commitment to the country. This pledge brought hope and strength to develop our country.
Programme officer also took pledge to affirm the development of our country. Volunteers, student’s organisers, chief organisers and Programme officers took pledge to play their part in building the developed India, to remove any trace of colonial mind set, to take pride in promotion and preservation our rich cultural heritage, to fulfill their duties and responsibilities towards our nation and to honour the sacrifice of our Country’s brave hearts and devote themselves to nation’s defence and progress.
N.M.S.Sermathai Vasan College for Women, Madurai, Affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University conducted "Meri Maati Mera Desh" envisions a unified celebration of India's soil and valour, commemorating the nation's journey of freedom and progress. By connecting with the land and honoring our heroes, this program will instil a sense of national pride and inspire future generations to protect India's cherished heritage.
N.M.S.Sermathai Vasan College for Women, Madurai, NSS units and Madurai Kamaraj University NSS jointly organized ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ soil collection campaign at Samanatham and Anjugudi villages.
NSS volunteers and locals collected soil from different households as part of the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign launched by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. The event was organized to instill a sense of pride in the country. A pledge taking ceremony was also conducted under the banner of ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’. The event reinforced the idea that the bond between the land and the country is one that should be cherished and protected by everyone.

Madurai Gandhi N.M.R. Subbaraman College for women, Madurai Conducted Mega Program “Meri Maati Mera Desh” Programme (Phase 2) Our NSS Volunteers Collected Sand From Their Natives And Handed Over The Sand To Our Principal And Nss Programme Co. Ordinator And We Handed Over The Sand To Nyk Deputy Director Mr. Senthil Kumar.
Syed Ammal College of Arts and Science, Ramanathapuram, in association with NSS and Nehru Yuga Kendra jointly organized a programme on 'Meri Maati Meri Desh' in order to promote the spirit of unity of the country. Mr. S.Sheikh Ayaz Ahmed, NSS Officer delivered the welcome address on the occasion. Mr. Praveen Kumar, Nehru Yuga Kendra, District Youth Officer, Ramanathapuram delivered the introductory address. Dr. P. Balakrishnan, Principal of the College delivered the keynote address and inaugurated the function. Following the event, all the students took the pledge of the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav festival. Mr. Manoj, Inspector, Post Office, Ramanathapuram was the Chief Guest on the occasion. On the occasion, the students were felicitated with prizes and prizes were presented to the winners of the competition selected for the girls, rangoli and running (Fit India Freedom Run 4.0). Further, the students collected the soil varieties in and around Ramanathapuram and collected them from Mr. Thangeswarar, Nehru Yuga Kendra, Volunteer and Selvi. Ayesha Parveen, a third year student from the Department of Commerce and Computer Applications, will be brought to New Delhi to develop a sense of national integration. Thirumigu A. Chellathurai Abdulla, Principal, Syed Ammal College of Arts and Science and Mrs. A. Rajathi Abdulla, Principal, Syed Ammal Matriculation Higher Secondary School, congratulated and congratulated the students and professors. The programme was coordinated by Thiru.A.Valli Vinayagam, Assistant Professor and NSS Officer. At the end of the event, Mrs. Varsha, a third year student, Department of Commerce and Computer Applications thanked all of them.
National Institute of Technology, Trichy organized Amirt Kalash Yatra and Amrit Vatikas events at Government Middle School, Vazhavandhankottai and Government High School, Thirunedungulam with the Director of NIT Trichy, Dr. G. Aghila as the chief guest. The Amrit Kalash Yatra event started with Tamil Thai Vaazhthu. Dr. G. Aghila, Director, NIT Trichy, Dr. R. Karvembu, Dean (Students’ Welfare), Dr. K. Panneerselvam, NSS Programme Coordinator and Headmasters of the Schools addressed the volunteers and students. Then students were asked to put rice and sand in separate Amrit Kalash, which were collected from all corners of the panchayats/villages. Subsequently, Mitti Kalash, having the soil from the panchayats/villages/urban areas, would be carried to the National Capital.
This was followed by the Vasudha Vandan event, in which Dr. G. Aghila, Director, NIT Trichy provided 120 saplings of indigenous species to school students to renew and replenish mother earth in the villages.
Hajee Karutha Rowther Howdia College, Uthamaplayam Theni district, Tamilnadu organized an Amrit Kalash yatra under the campaign ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ celebrating India’s 75 years of independence as per the instructions received from NSS, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai,
The event was organized under the leadership of Principal and Chairman of NSS units, Dr. H. Mohamed Meeran and flagged off the yatra in the presence of Dr. N. Mohamed Sameem, IQAC Coordinator. The yatra started from our college campus and culminated at the adopted village’s karukkodai, Ramasamynayyakkanpatti, U.Ambasmuthiram and Kokilapuram. Nearly 50 NSS volunteers participated in the event.
SRI SARADA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN (AUTONOMOUS), SALEM, On account of Amrit Kalash Yatras, NSS volunteers brought rice from their own house (nearly collected 25kgs). This programme was inaugurated by our respected Madam Principal. Students filled the casket with rice and donated it to Annai Terasa Home, Convent Road, Fairlands, Salem.
