‘Ek Tareekh – Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath’ Program as part of “Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Sewa – 2023” on 1st October, 2023 – Cleanliness Drive conducted by NHAI at Vanagaram User Fee Plaza, near Porur, Chennai

Under the ‘Ek Tareekh – Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath’ Program as part of “Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Sewa – 2023”, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) organized massive Cleanliness Drive at various locations along the National Highways under its jurisdiction in the State of Tamil Nadu.

In the cleaning operations held near the Vanagaram User Fee Plaza on Chennai Bypass near Porur, Chennai, Shri K. Ganapathy, Hon’ble MLA, Maduravoyal, Officials of NHAI and the general public from the nearby areas participated and contributed their Shramadhan.

As part of the Drive, cleaning operations were carried out in the vicinity of Vanagaram User-fee Plaza and the garbage removed from the area was transported to the Dumping Yard of Chennai Corporation for proper disposal.

Tree Saplings were also planted within the NH land available along the Bypass by the Dignitaries and Officials

Today’s Cleanliness Drive will be followed by a month-long Special Campaign from 02.10.2023 to 31.10.2023, during which massive cleaning operations are planned to be carried out in the National Highway stretches, User-fee Plazas and other Wayside Amenities along the National Highways.
