56th Annual General Meeting of Hindustan Copper Ltd

HCL Planning to Increase its Mining Capacity to 12.2 million tonne per annum
in next 6 to 7 Years, states Chairman

Hindustan copper limited (HCL) is implementing a plan to increase its mining capacity from its current level ore production to 12.2 million tonne per annum in Phase-I in next six to seven years. The Company has achieved ore production of 33.47 lakh tonnes during FY 2022-23 as against 35.70 lakh tonnes produced in FY 2021-22. The company is implementing expansion projects to increase mine production capacity from current level to 12.2 MTPA by FY 2028-29. This will boost domestic production of copper metal to reduce dependence on imports by India. This was stated by Shri Ghanshyam Sharma, Chairman and Managing Director (Addl. Charge) on Friday (September 29, 2023), while attending the 56th annual General Meeting of HCL.

 

The 56th Annual General Meeting of HCL was also attended Shri Sanjay Panjiyar, Director (Operations), Shri Sanjiv Kumar Singh, Director (Mining), Shri Shakil Alam and Shri Sanjeev Verma, Government Nominee Directors, Shri Annadevara Gurunadha Krishna Prasad, Shri Avinash Janardan Bhide, Smt. Hemlata Verma, Independent Directors and Shri C S Singhi, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer. 

 

Shri Vinod Kumar, Under Secretary, Ministry of Mines was present as nominee of the President of India.

 

Audited Financial Statement (Standalone and Consolidated) for FY 2022-23 was adopted and other resolutions contained in the AGM Notice were approved by the shareholders during the meeting.
