The Quality Council of India (QCI), in an endeavor to invigorate India's rural landscape, launched the "Sarpanch Samvaad" mobile application on 12^th September 2023 at the Raj Bhawan, Guwahati. The app was formally unveiled by the Governor of Assam,  Shri Gulab Chand Kataria.

On the occasion, Shri Kataria, stated that, "I am delighted to witness the commencement of this initiative for Sarpanchs. It brings me immense joy to see the focus on empowering our grassroots leaders. Assam is fortunate to have a multitude of dedicated female leaders who have been tirelessly contributing to their communities. It's essential to emphasize that quality is an indispensable element for achieving success in these endeavors."

                                                   

The app, aimed at connecting approximately 2.5 lakh Sarpanchs across India, serves as a holistic platform for networking, knowledge dissemination, and collaboration. Through this initiative, Sarpanchs can spotlight developmental activities in their villages, learn about best practices, and foster connections nationwide. The launch event was graced by around 30 Sarpanchs from different corners of the nation who have been wholeheartedly supporting the initiative from the beginning.

                                                     

On this occasion Shri Jaxay Shah, Chairperson of QCI, said that, " With this initiative we have witnessed a historical moment in the journey of QCI. Our objective with this initiative is to provide comprehensive support to Sarpanchs, fostering their growth as leaders. Through their development, we envision a prosperous future for our villages, marked by progress and advancement."

The Sarpanch Samvaad app not only ensures a single platform for idea-sharing but also reinforces QCI's commitment to empower grassroot leaders. By developing training modules, crafting a compendium of government schemes, and sharing best practices, the QCI aspires to drive holistic village development. Dr. Ravi P. Singh, Secretary-General QCI, highlighted, "Through initiatives like Sarpanch Samvaad, QCI remains resolute in its commitment to deliver quality goods and services to the 140 crore citizens of India, thereby enhancing overall quality of life."
