On the Occasion of National Sports Day 2023, Sports Council of NIT Tiruchirappalli creates Sports facilities (Kho Kho and Volley Ball Courts) at REC Middle School. The Chief Guest, Guest of Honor, and Special Invitees were Mr. M. Arivazhagan Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. R. Suresh Kumar SDAT Manager and Mrs. S.B. Regi Benjamin Block Education Officer for the inauguration ceremony. The Director of the Institute Dr. G. Aghila motivated the school children on the importance of sports and physical exercise in their day-to-day life. Mr. M. Arivazhagan DSP, and other guests educated the school children about the greatness of Major Dhyan Chand in the field of sports. The sports facilities (Kho-Kho and volleyball court) were inaugurated by the Chief Guest and other guests during the event. Dr. R.Karvembu Dean of Students Welfare, Dr. N. Kumaresan Dean of Faculty Welfare, Dr. G. Subaiyan, Dean Institute Development, Dr. K. Baskar Dean Planning & Development, Dr. Ashok Chairman of REC School, Dr. Jerome (RECAL), and SAS Officers Dr. A. Solomon Raja and Shri Dalley Krishnan were present in the occasion.
