Postal Department organizes Workshop on E-commerce Exports and Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra

Department of Posts has announced the expansion of Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra in Tamil Nadu. Currently, 49 Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras are operational in the state, and additional 5 centers set to commence operations shortly. This is a significant step towards simplifying export operations for businesses in Tamil Nadu. Department of Posts organized a successful workshop on e-commerce Exports and Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra on 28th August 2023 at Kanchipuram. The workshop has brought together industrial experts, government officials, and handloom export especially silk handloom and promotion council to explore the opportunities and benefits of utilizing Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra services for streamlining export processes.
The meeting was presided by Shri. G. Natarajan, Postmaster General, Chennai City Region along with the Special Guests Ms. B. P. Sridevi PMG (Mails & BD), Tamilnadu Circle, Ms. Rajalakshmi Devaraj, Zonal Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Shri. N. Sridhar, Executive Director, Handloom Export and Promotion Council & Shri. Ramanathan, Silk Park, Kanchipuram. Director of Postal services Shri. K. Somasundaram, Chennai City Region welcomed the gathering. Around 150 exporters from various sectors were benefitted by this workshop.
